“Mirabelle plum and wet stone aromas are pretty, but fleeting. Flavor-wise, this wine is like a cross between lemon drop hard candies and a lime rickey made with gin. It tiptoes up to off-dry territory with soft acidity.” — Michael Alberty, Wine Enthusiast

TASTING NOTES

The beautiful expressiveness of the Tualatin Hills sub AVA is captured in this still wine.  It has a trinity of elements that give it an edge over all other Willamette Valley AVA Gris.  This wine was harvested with perfect acid. Additionally, this wine shows off a balance of fruit/acid often not found. Finally, this wine was clearly - not overly expressed. The crush shows off the juice and the restraint of the winemaker.

Nose - Medium intensity. Orange blossom, honey, and youthful melon persist into juicy passion fruit and meyer lemon. A latent hint of forest pine and coastal winds are wound up in the expressive alcohol.

Palate - Medium intensity. There is an impressive balance of body, sweetness and ample fruits. The youthful acidity is supported by notes of crisp tropical pineapple that buzzes on the palate. The long finish glides into notes of apple blossom honey, nectarine and a eucalyptus bark that calls for another sip.

Serve with pan seared Harrisa crusted Halibut steaks with Haricotvert in beurre blanc.
